Hi! My name is Alizainul. I am a Mechatronics Engineer. I am from a small town in India, currently living in Stuttgart, Germany.
I love developing efficient solutions and optimized systems by using my skills in Supervised and Unsupervised Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision and Sensor Fusion. I'm driven by curiosity and a desire to create technology that is both intelligent and impactful.
Apart from Engineering, I am a Basketball player (Bezirksliga). I love Quizzing, not just taking part in quizzes but conducting fun Quizzes myself (Nerd alert!). I have also enjoyed volunteering work for many years and always look for such opportunities.

Thesis Overview (click to expand)
The goal of the thesis was to develop a robust and accurate LOCALIZATION and TRAJECTORY prediction system for an autonomous driving vehicle. To achieve this goal, data from GNSS and IMU sensors was fused together using Unscented Kalman Filter to find the location of the vehicle on Earth. Additionally, 3D ASAM OpenDRIVE maps were used to fin the exact location of the car in a lane on the road.
As shown in the workflow picture below, the system used 2 inputs:
- GNSS and IMU sensor data
- Map data from 3D ASAM OpenDRIVE maps
On one side, the GNSS and IMU sensor data were fused together using UKF and on the other side, the map data was converted into Matlab structure for its quick use.
Key Highlights:
- With the use of Deep Learning Models, combined with Map Data and Vehicle Dynamics and Telemetry Data, the system was able to maintain robust localization and trajectory prediction, even during GNSS signal outages.
- This work shows how, even with less resources and inputs, robust systems can be built for safety critical systems.
